Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is my son safe at Millon International Lacrosse Camp?
  1. Safety is an important focus for us at Millon International Lacrosse Camps. Throughout the 12 years of successful summer camp sessions and through our many more years of experience managing camps, Millon International has developed detailed rules and regulations in order to provide a safe atmosphere at the camp.

Each camper stays in a specified dorm which is supervised 24 hours a day. Millon Camp hires a specific Safety Director whose job for the week is to oversee all safety details and monitor the campers. A requirement of our staff is that they are assigned to rooms on each of the floors with the campers.

In addition, all of the SUNY schools have their own police force, which is stationed throughout the campus 24 hours, seven days a week. They will be touring the dorms and field areas throughout the week. After 10 p.m. the campus is only accessible through one main gated stationed by a SUNY police officer.

When your son checks in for camp and there are specific medical problems we need to be aware of, we will arrange for him to visit with our certified trainer or Emergency Medical Technician at that time.

  2. Why should I attend Millon International Lacrosse Camp?

Twelve years ago, Mark Millon, one of the top lacrosse players in the world, developed what has become the premiere teaching camp for young lacrosse players. Mark is not only a great player but a student of the game and has developed a philosophy for teaching that has been the recipe for his success.

Mark Millon Mark has specifically developed his curriculum so that it focuses on how a young lacrosse athlete should develop in order to compete at a top high school or college or at the professional level.

Most importantly though, you'll be working with and interacting with Mark for most of the instruction during the week. Some camps highlight top players who only show up for an appearance and don't spend time getting to know the you and your game. That's not the case at Millon Lacrosse Camp, where Mark will be at each camp for all of the instruction.

Additionally, Mark takes more than a year to develop his camp staff and bases his selections on players who are exceptional at teaching the game. The curriculum incudes drills, teaching, games, specialized position work and as always having fun.

If that's not enough to answer your question, the other awesome element of camp is the combination of incredible facilities and great giveaways. Each camper gets a Warrior stick, a subscription to Inside Lacrosse magazine plus more. All of these make the Millon camp unmatched by any other out there.

  3. Is Millon lacrosse camp better for a specific position?
No, not at all. Each summer we have an even number of players at each position and the feedback is in incredible across the board. While the director, Mark Millon, plays attack, there are also positional directors for each position. These directors will be professional MLL players or NCAA head coaches. The instruction level at each position will be equal and incredible.
